US residents abandoning pets to be taken care of by..whom?

Hello! I wanted to bring a situation to light. The US embassy is facilitating
evacuations for those US citizens that wish to leave but they will NOT allow
pets!!

This is going to burden an already horrible situation not to mention how
terrible this is for the pets that will now be left to fend for themselves. They
will not survive.

I think a big deal needs to be made of this but I'm not sure
how to draw the attention to this that it deserves. The general US population
will not like this if they hear about it.

Pour info ça coûte hyper cher de laisser son animal à garder. Et vue la précipitation ça m'étonnerait que beaucoup les ai laissés entre de bonnes mains. Quand on voit les chats errants à Shibuya, c'est clair qu'un chat domestique ne va pas survivre.
